Operated by Sam and Beverley Cairns, former owners of the highly regarded 'Nottinghamway Bed and Breakfast' at Glenalta in the foothills of Adelaide, Sam and Beverley have many years experience in providing a high level of persnalised service to guests from around the world.

Kingfisher House Bed and Breakfast was built in 1990 and is well suited as a bed and breakfast, offering a luxurious decor with open roomy areas, quiet courtyard retreats, and fantastic views across a wooded valley of native trees, all the while being central to the major attractions which South Australia has to offer.

Furnished in genuine hand-carved antiques, and with walls adorned with wonderfully rich tapestries, Kingfisher House belies the fact that the building itself is quite new.

The name 'Kingfisher' comes from the Kingfisher bird, a crafty fisherman with an oversize beak, and a raucus laughing cry, a species which is prolific in this area, and a delight to bird-watchers from around the globe.

The park directly opposite is home to many species of parrot and galah, and is certainly a pleasure to all.

Enjoy a truly Australian experience, where you can be pampered, or simply left to do what you like.  The choice is yours.
